Our Headmistress' Welcome

Welcome to Concordia School Paris.

Concordia is a family-friendly institution where we know every child's name, and yet our community is wide-reaching.

At Concordia, we strive to provide a top quality and rigorous education whilst supporting our children's individual progress and emotional needs. Our campus is vibrant, buzzing and joyful!

We have developed a bespoke curriculum that combines both the French and English national curricula. Our amazing teaching team delivers a strong academic programme to give our children a strong foundation that they are then able to expand upon in a French or English educational system following their time with us.

But today, academic results are no longer enough.

We need to prepare our children to grow in a complex world. We need to foster and encourage every child’s confidence, curiosity, motivation and passion, to help them achieve their potential and to cultivate their love of learning. Creativity, critical thinking, teamwork and communication are key skills for today and tomorrow.

Together we are shaping our future leaders, who are prepared to act on and stand up for their ideas.

Welcome to the Concordia community!

About Harriet

Originally from England, Harriet Phillimore has over 25 years of experience teaching. She began her teaching career as a Montessori teacher, then qualified with a BA Honours in Primary Education (QTS). She taught at the well-known boys’ pre-prep school Eaton House in London for years before deciding to move to Paris in 2008.

In Paris, Harriet began teaching at the Ecole Jeannine Manuel, and at the Ecole Alsacienne. Around the same time, Harriet established Phillimore Tutors, which specialises in teaching English to bilingual children or to children wanting more from English than the schools currently provide.

Harriet also teaches English through performance skills and prepares children for LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts) examinations.
