FAQs:

What is best time period to submit a CV?

Faculty hiring typically takes place after the new year and into the spring, but we encourage anyone who is interested in joining our team to check here regularly, as vacancies can occur at any time.

We welcome spontaneous applications from qualified primary and secondary teachers, even outside of the above timing. Applications should be sent to: info@concordiaschoolparis.com. Please be sure to include a letter of motivation with your CV.

What professional qualifications are you looking for when hiring a teacher?

All prospective teachers must hold a valid teaching degree. English teachers must have a Bachelor of Education, PGC or PGCE equivalent, QTS, or BA honours in secondary education. French teachers must have their Masters and we prefer teachers who hold a Concours de Recrutement des Professeurs des Écoles. For collège applicants, you must have a diplôme d’enseignement du secondaire.

Please note that we cannot consider applicants who have a TEFL certificate or no formal teaching degree.

Can I apply as a newly qualified teacher?

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of two year’s experience as a class teacher.

What language level do I need to teach?

We only employ native English-speaking teachers to teach English language subjects, and native French-speaking teachers to teach French language subjects. Other staff members should speak either English or French at a high level, i.e. a minimum of C2.

Do you provide works visas for your teachers?

Work permits for staff members is a long and costly process and we therefore prefer to hire staff members who already hold either an EU passport or a valid work permit for France. In exceptional situations we will apply for a work visa for our teachers.

I would like to complete an internship with your school. Is this possible?

We welcome interns at the school, with a strong preference for those who can spend at least three months with us. Internships of more than two months are remunerated in accordance with French legal requirements.
