Acting Class

Tuesdays, 17:00 to 18:00

(ages 7 to 11)

THE FUNDAMENTALS OF ACTING

This class will explore the fundamentals of acting for the theatre: relaxation, breathing, improv and working with text.

Acting is one of the most important and joyful ways to develop key life skills.  The lessons will help develop confidence, understanding and empathy, promote creative thinking and exploration whilst acquiring memory skills, spatial awareness, vocal confidence and physical presence.

All students will perform group scenes in class, as well as studying individual monologues or duologues. They will spend time developing their characters, analysing their movement, feelings and moods, including use of stage space.  The development of a clear speaking voice and good body language are an integral part of these lessons.

LAMDA EXAMS

Each student will have the opportunity, at their option, to develop an exam recital that will be assessed by a LAMDA examiner from London. Exams will take place at Concordia School Paris in December and May/June.
